Dow Tennis Classic Championship Match to Air Live on the Tennis Channel

Rebecca Marino, 2024 Singles Champion

The championship round of the Dow Tennis Classic (DTC) singles tournament will air live on the Tennis Channel 2. Marking the first time in the event’s 37-year history, the singles final will start at noon – two hours earlier than its traditional 2 p.m. time slot. The match will take place Sunday, Feb. 22, at 12 p.m. EST.

The broadcast is a significant milestone for DTC, which is regarded by players and fans as a highlight of the WTA 125 series of professional tennis tournaments, and was voted in 2024 as the third best of these events worldwide. The 2026 DTC will feature 23 international players, including seven players ranked in the world top 150 and many rising stars.

The Tennis Channel is the only network dedicated to airing tennis 24/7 and includes both a cable/satellite channel and an app for streaming.

"The partnership with the Tennis Channel is an exciting development for DTC and will give many more fans a chance to see the elite level of play that takes place here in Midland, right as it happens," said Jeff Rekeweg, tournament director of the Dow Tennis Classic and executive director of Greater Midland Tennis Center. "This opportunity came about through our partnership with Topnotch Management, whose relationship with the Tennis Channel made this broadcast possible. It's deeply meaningful to our staff, volunteers and community partners who work tirelessly every year to make this a premier event, and it's an honor to share it with a wider audience.”

The complete player field represents eight countries and can be viewed at https://dowtennisclassic.com. Tickets for the Dow Tennis Classic are also now available on the site. Keep current on all new information by following @DowTennisCL on Facebook and Instagram.
